Hi Tech Design Kitchen and Interior Inc. seeks Architectural Drafter in Van Nuys, CA.
Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects to ensure conformance to specifications. Prepare detailed drawings of architectural features of buildings. Interpret drawings and specifications. Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Perform engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations. Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities using calculator or computer software. Quantity takeoffs performing material takeoffs from drawings, specifications. Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation and evaluation of field conditions. Assist within field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data. Help to ensure that project construction conforms to design specifications. Generate as-built data to be reviewed by the architects and engineers. Assist with the maintenance of basic project record keeping and correspondence functions including project files, records, photographs, and requests for information (RFIs). Develop plans and estimate costs for constructing systems. Prepare reports and document project activities and data. Salary $75,358/year.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Three (3) years of experience in a related position (any job title). Work experience must include utilizing the following software: Auto Desk, Auto CAD, MS project, Excel, Revit, and Adobe Acrobat; performing quality assurance related to architectural drafts; and drafting and interpreting blue prints.
